About Mark
Mark Scully is an EMCC Accredited Coach and member of the Association for Coaching. He undergoes regular coaching supervision and abides by the EMCC Global Code of Ethics.
He is also neurodivergent and passionate about organisations becoming more neuro-inclusive for the benefit of all employees.
Mark originally qualified as a Barrister before becoming a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor. He worked for 12 years in professional services before becoming a full-time Coach.
This unique background and years of experience managing young professionals has informed Mark's coaching approach - an evidence based, holistic, results focussed approach which is always in service of the coachee but never at the cost of ethics, integrity or inclusivity.
Why do I do this?
Prior to setting up Braver, I worked in the top tiers of professional services for over 12 years as an accountant, tax advisor and lawyer, most recently as a Tax Director in KPMG Ireland.
In all that time, the part of my job I loved the most was building high performing teams and raising up my colleagues.
Nothing gives me greater joy than helping people realise their potential and grow and I believe coaching is simply one of the most effective ways in effecting real sustained change in a person. I knew I wanted to make coaching a central focus for my career going forward.

My passion for neurodiversity stems from my autism diagnosis in 2021. Since that time, I have immersed myself in the scientific literature and discourse on neurodiversity and have returned to higher education.

Based on my own experience, I believe that there are many neurodivergent people out there who are afraid to ask for help, who are not performing to their strengths, and do not feel like they belong in their workplace.
I also believe there are many employers out there who want to make their workplaces more neuro-inclusive but don’t know how to create the space for that conversation.

I want to help and Braver is my way of doing so.
